A Boston native, Becca Hannah, 25, uses the authenticity of her voice to fuse soul with jazz, and a splash of r&b.
Her debut EP, “Taking Flight”, a collection of acoustic/folk/jazz originals, highlights the bittersweet realities of young adulthood.
'Hazy' puts you in a haunting trance - Becca’s velvety vocals are accentuated by layers of ethereal harmonies.
'Me & I' brings a timeless, sassy, feel-good soul/funk energy to her sound.
In 'Floating,' Becca's colorful harmonies alongside the warm, jazzy guitar licks evoke another dreamlike, elegant sound. An easy listening, indie soul/r&b/pop record for late summer.
Her EP, 'Solstice' includes 3 classic jazz standard covers she recorded with a live band. Her soulful vocals over these timeless tracks will warm your heart and soul on the upcoming cold winter nights.
Her single 'Sad Boy' brings a groove, bossa nova type of baseline and percussion.
'Potluck' expresses the importance of "protecting your energy" with her rich, soulful vocals over a jazzy, lofi-type hip hop beat.
'Words' is about the beginning stages of falling in love - and how "there aren't words" to describe the magical experience it brings.
'I Wanna Know' is also about the honeymoon stage, but with an emphasis on the fear and hesitancy of letting yourself fully fall.
Becca sang the Star-Spangeled Banner at the New England Patriots Game on 9/26/21. Becca recently sang on the freedom stage at the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia on 9/4/22.
Stay tuned for more projects on the way!
